My parents, Larry and Shelly requested a more beautiful, functional outdoor living space. They live in Southern California and were excited to hear I could help them lower their water bill by removing unneeded grass.
To compensate for the loss of green I created a guest/reading area right off the patio. My parents will soon be retired and spending a lot more time at home. Having this in mind I created a seating area for them to sit and relax while they enjoy a beautiful bubbling fountain with many plants closely placed around it.
This design is not all the way complete. There will be mulch in the background along with a few more changes. With a changing budget this is a rough draft. When I go visit this Christmas we are going to start the landscape and tie up any loose ends and questions they have.
